Dorothy and Charles met in Brooklyn, NY in April 2017 after a couple of weeks trying to coordinate their first date over Hinge. Dorothy suggested her favorite whiskey bar, Noorman's Kil (RIP). Subsequent early dates included Charles introducing Dorothy to Ash (their dog) and a plant repotting date to Home Depot. From there, it's been two Brooklyn apartments, many homemade cheese plates (#cheesewithcharles), memorable travels, countless dog walks, and a global pandemic (NBD). Nothing like an unprecedented health crisis to make it clear who you're meant to spend your life with.
Charles packed apples. A kind hiker took this photo for us.
We are so excited to celebrate with you and hope you will make wonderful memories in the foothills with us! It will also be peak leaf season, which means you must go on a hike or at least a drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway.
It goes without saying, but nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our friends and loved ones. We respectfully ask that anyone joining us to celebrate be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Morganton is at the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains about 1.5 hours northwest of Charlotte, NC; an hour north of Greenville, SC; and about an hour east of Asheville, NC. The Catawba River runs through it and will be the backdrop of our wedding ceremony and reception. Check out the FAQs page for some of our favorite Morganton spots!
Please check out our FAQs page for more details on how to get to Morganton, including airport recommendations.
We are happy to try connecting you with other guests who may be renting cars and open to carpooling. Please keep in mind that options for Uber, Lyft, and other ride sharing are limited, so it is helpful to have access to a car if you're interested in hiking or other activities outside of the scheduled wedding events.
So - about hotels, there aren't many of them.
This is the only hotel "in town." We will have a shuttle to and from here on Saturday.
Our room block is full, but some rooms may still be available if you book directly through the hotel. Click here for that link.
This hotel is closer to the highway and out of town, but we also have a room block here. We will have a shuttle to and from here on Saturday as well.

There are rental options available through both Airbnb and VRBO. If you stay close enough to downtown, you’ll be able to pick up the shuttle at the Fairfield Inn & Suites on Saturday.
Please reach out to Dorothy if you have questions about rental locations and proximity to events.
